Fab Club runs every Wednesday afternoon in term-time from 3.30pm-5.00pm. It is a club for young people aged 11-18 who have learning disabilities and is run by our youth workers and volunteers.

The main objective of Fab Club is to give young people with learning disabilities the chance to socialise and meet other young people in a safe environment outside school. Predominantly, the club is made up of students from The Abbey School and The Ridgeway School, however, it is open for anyone with learning disabilities to join.

Regular club activities include playing table tennis, pool and table football; using the computers; basketball and football; arts and crafts; cinema nights; using the electronic dance mats and undertaking projects including photography and drumming.

Although Fab Club doesn’t run during the holidays, there are trips and workshops organised. Because 40 Degreez Centre for Young People is a registered charity, the club is dependent on grants and donations in order to arrange holiday activities.

The Club is also dependent on the dedication and enthusiasm of its youth worker Simon, and on the commitment and passion of its volunteers, Mike, Jenny, and Pip.

Have a look on the right for upcoming club meetings and recent posts to the FAB blog. If you would like to contribute anything, please forward to your Club Leader Simon. Please connect to our Facebook page.
